Lately I am
hearing some things that for being absolutely politically correct I am not going to qualify, but also I would like to
clarify that Scooby is one real non speciesist sanctuary in Spain, we rescue
any kind of animals that we are allowed to rescue, dogs, cats, hens, ferrets,
horses, donkeys , sheep, we don’t discriminate dogs, cats , ferrets just because the eat meat, so we are not a
vegan sanctuary , what a pity, I don’t think is normal to try to humanize the
animals, animals are animals they are not here to serve us in any way so to try
to make vegan a carnivore , with one it can be but with the amount of
carnivores that we rescue every year is impossible and I can say that we even
don’t want that. So our horses are happy eating carrots, grass and things like
that, our dogs are happy eating meat, our hens lay eggs and we don’t throw them
away , we sell them and normally with the money coming from that we pay their
food and sometimes if there is something extra we go to the sheep market to buy
and rescue from the slaughterhouse, so the money coming from them is used for
them , I am sorry but to have a hen sterilized , with the high risk that it can
take , just for not allowing her to lay eggs, it is a little bit too much, at
least it´s my opinion, so we are not vegan , but we are the ones that we are
always there when we are needed, we are not vegan but we rescue thousands of
animals every year, at the end our sanctuary is a place where every animal can
behave like what they are animals and not like humans, kisses , licks and hugs
from all us, galgos for adoption , all the other dogs and cats also for
adoption and all our animals from the sanctuary, ahhh and don’t forget to donate
