INTRODUCING TIBU AND FRINETO

29 September after multiple attempts we finally caught Tibu and Frineto, two apparently feral puppies. They were so scared of people that is was very difficult to catch them. When they arrived at Scooby they were too scared to come out of the corner of the enclosure and we were sure that it would be a lot of work to socialise them. So for the first night we left them alone as much as possible so that they could get used to their new surroundings.

We are not sure what happened that night but the next morning it looked like we had two new puppies. They were so happy to see us, coming to the fence, sniffing our hands and when we got inside they were not scared of us at all. We were happily surprised that Tibu and Frineto were not the feral puppies we believed they were. So now Tibu and Frineto are together with the other puppies in a big paddock where they can play. In this paddock where they can run away from us and hide if they want, they are always at the fence to greet people and as soon as you go inside they are ready to attack you with puppy kisses!

These two little guys are now ready for their next adventure, going home to their forever families.

Bullas - What to do?

My friend Marina and me we were drinking something and with our favorite conversation, “ animals in need “ , Bullas is a village of around 10000 population in the region of Murcia , our supporters know very well this village because we have done several rescues, anyway the question is that she was telling me that in that place there were more than 100 stray dogs, I thought that is impossible and I still think that , 100 , there are too many, Marina has started to send me pictures and I was astonished, i never thought that in Spain in 2015 , there could still happen something like this and now my question is ¿ what to do?, Scooby cannot help all of them without you, normally we use to do it , in the other way , we use to rescue them and after we ask for help, but in this case if we cannot get help we cannot help all these animals. So tell us what to do, without you we cannot do it. Kisses, licks and hugs from all of us. Fermin 

 

Handicraft Jewellery for Paying Eloy’s Surgery

Eloy had been found with a terrible open fracture of one of his hind legs and had undergone an emergency surgery to save him.

News about Eloy

A few weeks ago we told you the sad story of Eloy and today we want to tell you what happened next.  After emergency surgery in the Clinica Mediterranea because of the serious open fracture in his hind leg, and have a hard post-operative recovery, Eloy has come back to the refuge. He still needs to gain some weight but the fracture has practically healed. Nothing could be done with the broken front leg because it was an old fracture already so he will have to live with it the rest of his life. It doesn't seem to bother him, he is a perfectly happy dog, sweet and always looking for someone to pet him. We still need to pay the veterinary bills so we are asking for your help in this. Without you, all this would not be possible.
