Poor boy needs a special home

This poor Spanish Mastiff was found straying in a village close to Medina. We assume he suffered from distemper in his youth which would explain why he moves the way he does and might also explain the severe damage in his eyes and ears. It seems he can see things that are very close up and also hear very loud noises. For him, we are looking for an experienced home. He is very sweet and also good with other dogs. We also need to raise funds for him, so we can pay for the eye specialst and figure out if something can be done for him.

Update on Zuki

As you can see in the slide-show, we are still doing our best to achieve the complete closing of adorable Zuki's wounds; only then will we be able to move forward and provide her with a prosthesis.

Scooby kittens are looking urgently for a new loving “servant”..

As soon as spring starts, all animals are getting in the mood.. Non sterilized cats are  going out looking for a date. Fortunately a lot  of the owners have taken their responsibility and had them neutered, but unfortunately in Spain, the situation is different.

Scooby Medina has, again, their hands full this year with abandoned and dumped litters of kittens that need to be taken care of, fed and socialized.  Day and night the workers are doing what they can to bring these little “fur balls” back to strength so they are ready to leave for their new home.

On the Facebook page Scooby Katjes,  we present all the kittens at Scooby who are ready to be adoptedhttps://www.facebook.com/Scooby-Katjes-229253987460332/photos

Before the kittens leave for their new home, they are being sterilized, chipped, vaccinated and tested on Leukemia and kittenaids. So you will be assured you will always get a healthy kitten with a passport. Do you need more information or are you interested? Please send a personal message on Facebook through Scooby Katjes. You can ask us anything in German, Dutch or English and we try to answer your question as soon as possible.  There are several sites in France, Belgium and the Netherlands where the kittens could be picked up. Are you going to be the loving new “servant” the little ones need so badly? Please take a look on Facebook for the currently available kittens and share the page with your friends.

Sky the hero

Yesterday we had one of the lessons that
animals can teach us. Sky is a truly hero for this little kitten that
someone throw over our fence, he is very sick, probably Rhinotraqueitis
and it was really cold, what our hero did?. when our people in
Palencia arrived there , they saw Sky just lying down , licking a ball
of hair, then we appeared sky stand up and started pushing the title
kitten showing us that he was there, probably the cat is alive just
because of Sky warming him and caring him until we arrive.he is
our hero and he still needs a home

Galgos in the pool

The sun is burning, it is almost 40 degrees, it is too hot! Luckily a great person donated a big pool to Scooby so all the volunteers are happy! Ah no… it’s not for the people, it’s for the dogs! And look at them enjoying the cold water! They have to get used to getting in and getting out a little bit, but with some help they finally understand. And of course are not only the dogs enjoying the pool J
Thank you so much Miguel Diaz Ollero!

Here is a little movie of the dogs getting a treat in the pool:
