On Monday we went to Jerez to pick up 35 more galgos, who now are
sitting comfortably in our shelter.
We should have taken 36 galgos, but during the release of 5 galgos from the
back of a trailor carried by their galguerro, one of the galgos was so
terrified, he broke free from his leash, gave many bite wounds to his
former ‘master’, and he fled for his life. This is sad, very sad that a
galgo who was so close to the chance at a better life with us, took his chance
of freedom to escape the life he knew, to be used only as a tool.
We hope that the volunteers in Jerez will find him and eventually he will
get the life he deserves, and this highlights the huge importance of our work,
travelling great distances to save as many of these mistreated souls
that we possibly can.
Please support us in our even increasing work, you will be seeing the many
new faces of our wonderful galgos appearing soon and ready for adoption.
