Pretty Pecas is potentially loving!

Meet Pecas, an absolutely stunning young lady, with her ‘make-up eyes’ and her clown like smile.. She is only one year old and in her short life she has already learned the hard way about abandonment and solitude. When she arrived at the Scooby shelter Zamora she had a hard time adjusting, like all dogs do, and was crying a lot. Thanks to a great volunteer, who is helping her and training her, she is doing much better now. Pecas has a great will to learn and has already learned to walk calmly without jumping and is relaxed in her kennel during the day and playing with her friend. We know people say her breed is ‘potentially dangerous’ but Pecas is just POTENTIALLY LOVING!!!! And desperately in need of a loving home. Could it be yours? We hope so..

Three forgotten Galgos – Cristofer, Lucas & Luciano

These three beautiful Galgo males are in Scooby Palencia. They have been living there for almost a year now so somehow we think they are forgotten. How can this be?

Cristofer is a very handsome young brindle male (1,5 years old) with a special dark grey face.

Lucas is the black beauty of these three. Lucas is only two years old and is almost all black.

And last but not least, Luciano, the brown Galgo, also two years old, with the sweetest eyes.

Could you please help us promote these nice Galgos to find a home? If they get adopted by a loving family they will be so grateful! And their places will be free for Scooby to take in three needy new dogs. Thank you!

Belcebú

Belcebú arrived at the sanctuary in 2008 from the Matapozuelos Zoo after its closure. For the Zoo it was not profitable to transfer him, that was a lucky strike for him. So, Belcebú could break away from a life between bars. We do not know about his previous experiences but the truth is that he doesn’t have a very good character. He is perhaps the most beautiful animal of Scooby but also the most dangerous... If you face him walking in the sanctuary, you’ll better run!

Happy Holidays! – But not for us…

 

We are not spending these holidays in a warm and loving home. Again. We will spend our second,  third or even fourth Christmas here at the shelters of Scooby. We just don’t understand! We have seen so many friends come and go. They are all lying blissfully under a Christmas tree somewhere, next to a warm fireplace, getting special treats. But no, not us. We lie on an old blanket in a plastic basket on a concrete floor. And once a day somebody comes in to clean our poo and pee and to give us food and water. We love that person though; he or she is the highlight of our day, but it’s not the same.

Don’t misunderstand, we are very happy for our friends and grateful that somebody adopted them into a loving family. But we would like to have that too someday. So from the bottom of our heart we are asking you: Please, get into the holiday spirit and adopt us! We will do anything, even wear these silly hats for you! So please, please, pleeeaaase adopt us? Thank you...
