We said the
story would not end here… because Califa had a chip and it seems her owner is
living in the same village she was found, so we are going to report him for
negligence because we have people who can testify she was roaming around the
village by herself for several weeks and for abuse because what ever would have
happened to poor Califa, her owner never bothered to take her to a vet, and
according to us that is abuse. We will
see what the justice department will say but for us it is a clear case. To be
able to help other animals, we need you to help us. Please donate today. Sad licks, Fermin

Califa (Attention, the images are hard to bear
Let’s start
with telling that this is not a story with a happy end. Califa is, or actually
was, a little galga, hairy, with tiger stripes, and very sweet in the small
amount of time we got to know her. She was abandoned in Cuellar for some time
already but she would not let herself get caught. They had not told us about
her because she was here one moment and there the next.. They let us know when
it seemed she was hurt, so without thinking about it twice we took the car and
went there, it was almost like a scene from Dante: a small dog, very young and
surrounded by a pool of blood and exhausted so she did not put up a lot of
struggle to pick her up. We know she was wandering around the village for
several days and could not be caught but she was so done that she did not
resist. We took her to our place and to our vets, who had to tranquilize her to
treat her, and it was tragic to find that the poor Califa did not have an upper
jawbone anymore, all the bone was gone, she had a terrible infection and she
had welts all over her face because of the infection, as well as some other
wounds. We don’t know what happened but
we knew that even though this situation would be unlivable for her, we were
determined to do our best for her and took her to the Mediterranean veterinary hospital
in Madrid, but unfortunately there they confirmed there was nothing they could
do and we decided to put an end to her suffering. Now Califa is running free without suffering
at the other end of the rainbow bridge. But her story doesn’t stop here. Please
donate now so we can help other animals, we need your help to help them. Sad
licks, Fermin

Poor Zuki
Zuki is a
small galga, very small in size and weight and she only weighed 10 kilos when
she got here. We were called to take her in and of course we immediately said
yes, she came from a galguero who did not want her anymore, and she was covered
in ticks because her owner did not care. However, when she got to our place she
did not have them anymore, the vet took the responsibility of taking them off
and start treatment of her hind paws, which is the most that is wrong with her.
She has vasculitis that makes that her hind legs don’t get any bloodsupply and
that makes that her toes have got gangrene, so we fear they will have to be
amputated, even with the heavy treatment we are giving her, with antibiotics, soothing
gel for wounds and scars, but we fear the worst and all because of the
negligence of the galguero. One more of those who love their dogs so much and
according to them never abuse their dogs, one more of those who keep their dogs
without any chip and was not able to treat her for ticks even when they were
given the pipettes for antiparasitic treatment for free. Please help us, donate
whatever you can right now, Zuki and a lot more Zukis need you and we can only
help them if you help us. The blood works and stool tests came back very badly
and they still dare to say they treat them well. Greetings and please help us
to help them. Kisses, hugs and licks. Fermin
Here a mail from the
laboratory where her stool and blood was analyzed:
Here I send the results of stool analysis. It is
"full" with intestinal
parasites as well. The poor has everything . I would give Panacur 500 mg (1
tablet / day / 5 days), and then spend three weeks when you repeat the same cycle
.
As for medication for babesiosis, it came from Madrid yesterday and will explain everything to you to give full medication.
The antibiotic needed for the skin is cephalexin oral. Rilexine 300 mg would be perfect, because it corresponds by weight 1/24 hours. If not you can buy KEFLORIDINA 500 mg and give half capsule every 12 hours.
Another option is Amoxi-AC. CLAVULANICO: Augmentin 500 mg; but it’s the same, they are capsules. One capsule would have to be split in two and given twice a day.
Any doubt you tell me ..
See if by removing the parasites and with two injections of babesiacide she begins to get better !!
You'll have to keep me informed .. Send me photos and keep me updated please!

Bombon...
They moved and took every worthless piece of shit with them
they
had, every chair, table, carpet, spoon, bowl, everything untill
the flat was completely empty.
But the most valuable thing they left behind in that empty hole:
this little galgapuppie from some 10 weeks old who actually should
still be with her mother, but they left her all alone without
water, without food, no soft blanket to sleep on, just nothing.
Of course she was afraid and felt alone so she started to panic
and cried and screamed for days and hoped that somebody heard her
and would come back for her to keep her company. Well, finally,
after some days, the neighbours called the police, they came and
broke the door open and found her, totally stressed and brought
her to the perrera municipal from Valladolid where Scooby took her
out so now she is save in the Scooby residencia where she recovers
very quickly from her ordeal, thank God. She could have died there...
I really hope that the police is looking for the bastards who left
her behind and that they will be punished like they deserve...
We have called her Bombon.

Ladies and gentemen, I present to you Javi.
Javi is one of
our male foals with cryptorquidism. The procedure to neuter him was too
expensive and we couldn't afford it. We tried to raise funds for it a few times
but to no avail... His life was extremely boring and lonely, as he had to live
in a small patio away from the rest so he wouldn't fight with the males or get
the females pregnant. But his luck changed when a guardian angel called Pam
turned up in Medina del Campo and donated the funds needed for his operation.
Thanks to her, he is now enjoying his life and freedom in a huge green field! Thank you! Happy neighs, FermÃn.
