4 Galgos rescued from the perrera Valladolid

It´s almost the end of hunting season with galgos in Spain but for the most galgos it´s already over.
Because they won´t be the new champion of Spain, their disappointed owners dump them everywhere, but never the less they keep saying that they love their galgos so much.
If that is so, why abandon them or leave them in killingstations like these 4 who were left in the perrera municipal from Valladolid?
Scooby saved them and they are now safe in the Scooby residencia Valladolid and soon they will be champion in your house and on your couch. What more can you want? Adopt!

35 More galgos rescued from Jerez

On Monday we went to Jerez to pick up 35 more galgos, who now are sitting comfortably in our shelter.
We should have taken 36 galgos, but during the release of 5 galgos from the back of a trailor carried by their galguerro, one of the galgos was so terrified, he broke free from his leash, gave many bite wounds to his former ‘master’, and he fled for his life. This is sad, very sad that a galgo who was so close to the chance at a better life with us, took his chance of freedom to escape the life he knew, to be used only as a tool.
We hope that the volunteers in Jerez will find him and eventually he will get the life he deserves, and this highlights the huge importance of our work, travelling great distances to save as many of these mistreated souls that we possibly can.
Please support us in our even increasing work, you will be seeing the many new faces of our wonderful galgos appearing soon and ready for adoption.

Scooby under water.

I don´t know if it is due to the climate change or not but the question is that the whole autumn has been dry and we have had one week raining non stop , so the result is that the whole Scooby is flooded , but not only here in Zamora we needed the help of the fire brigade to get out all the water. We need your support , please donate. Thank you. Kisses, licks and hugs from all of us. Fermin

Poor Seco

He was found in a miserable state in Chiclana. After a first assessment at a veterinarian it was clear that his wounds and paw were in such a bad condition that he needed an operation as soon as possible.
Male. Young.
Elena, a wonderful lady, offered to take him in until we had organised a transport to Madrid.
The person who found him took him to the vets at my request but apart from his treatment he was only kept in a kennel.
Carmen Alfaro and María González quickly intervened and organised a foster-home for him in Madrid and a kind woman called Desire offered to take him there.

Update about Lidio and Mar

Lidio had his surgery and now is waiting for the recovery , he had a really severe infection and after a long antibiotic treatment the infection is under control, now we only need to wait until the bones are fixed, he is with Helena on foster and is really adorable, BTW Helena did not allow me to bring him to the shelter , she says that this dog goes from her house to yours. Kisses, licks and hugs from all of us. Fermin

Mar.

She also had her surgery , she is really very very shy, in fact she is in a foster home and she was improving , when we took her to our wonderful friends from Mediterranean to have her surgery , she stops eating and we thought that she was going to die, when we came back , her foster family took her back and she started eating , so we decided together with the family that the best option for her was that the foster family become her forever home and now she is adopted.Kisses, licks and hugs from all of us.
