Thank you

Just  thank you , a big thank you , thousands and thousands of thank you , we are not grateful enough to all of you, for many many things, thank you for adopting our dogs, thank you for adopting our cats, thank you for supporting us, thank you because when we are on transport many of you come to us with coffee , sweeties and many other things to support us , the drivers. Thank you because when we arrived to the final destination you are there donating any kind of goods, food, beds, washing machines, blankets, etc, etc, etc. When we come back with the van full of goods for our animals , I feel really happy , and I always think ok I must thank all these generous people, afterwards I need to do a lot of things and I always forget it, but today is the day,thank you, we simply will not exist without your help. Animal welfarists

I am sorry about saying this and I don t know if someone is going to be offended but I need to ventilate , it seems that there are some people on the Social Network , Facebook, that they know how to do animal welfare , better than anyone else, and let me explain some cases, because we are not vegans we cannot be considered animal welfare people, and our shelter cannot be considered a Sanctuary , because among our animals are meat eaters, they call themselves antiespecistes but dogs , cats and any carnivores are considered like impure animals, the biggest stupidity that I could read is that Animaux en Peril a Belgium organization, has closed their shelter for dogs and cats because they are meat eaters. Nowadays we can see plenty of organizations that they call themselves Animal Welfare Organization and they have12 cats or 5 dogs, I know , i know that every life counts but it is not the same to rescue 10 dogs than 1000 , to have one horse or to have 50 and after that they say that it is better to do small rescues but perfect than to do big rescues and not so good according to their standards, obviously if you rescue ten dogs per year , you can have them in golden baskets , but what happens with the rest? Should they be euthanised or what, honestly I prefer to rescue them knowing that they are safe at the shelter than letting them to be killed by a car . This is why we go for the contracts with the Towns and provinces, we prefer to do the work ourselves instead of having a killing station in place. What about all these young women on Facebook normally doing nothing for the animals and only criticising the work of the rest, if we do a transport is not good enough, if we send dogs abroad , it is because we have a big business with the laboratories or with food companies, but the worst part of this is that there are some people who believe them, we have been reported several times, always by these animal welfarists , people that they are not able to do the work and when Scooby arrives and show them how to do it , they just hate us because of that. And the last for know, what do you think about all that people who take a picture out of the context , just to criticize, I still remember a picture of our dogs close to the door and someone started a campaign against us because we have the dogs like sardines, anyway this is animal welfare, take it or leave it. New challenge: Teamers

At Scooby we set the goal to reach at least a number of 200 teamers. Why?  Because we teamers with putting in our two cents together we can cover part of the costs of the veterinary treatments. Because even though just one euro a month might seem little, with a lot of people joining it would make  a big difference for our animals. Therefore, we need you! What makes me angry 789

It is along time that I don´t write anything and Christiane has asked me to do it, so here I go. What makes me angry and maybe I have told you before. Our authorities make me angry, really angry , but not only politicians, also the Police and the judges. It seems that none take seriously animal welfare, we have laws now protecting our animals and for example to abandon an animal is forbidden by law, ok then ¿HOW IT CAN HAPPEN THAT WE RESCUE ANIMALS ABANDON WITH MICROCHIP AND NOTHING HAPPENS? We report the abandonement and afterwards we hear nothing, the animal stay with us for months and months , supposedly we cannot change the name of the owner and nobody prosecutes the owner, it is happening with many dogs. how on earth a judge can dismiss a case because he could not find the owner, we gave them , the complete name and address, so it means that if you are a murderer , you only need to change your address and then you are safe, this is not serious, the judges are not doing their work. And this is gains the law.
What about the Police, any kind of Police , ¿HOW IT CAN BE THAT A DONKEY IS TIED WITH A CHAIN OF TWO METERS LONG IN FRONT OF THE POLICE AND NOTHING HAPPENS? NO SHADE , TIED DAY AND NIGHT, WITH APPARENTLY NO FOOD , I suppose that some food or water the por donkey should have , because is still alive after some months.
And what about the Politicians, they make the law , sometimes very difficult law, but they don´t einforce the la. ¿HOW ON EARTH , IT CAN HAPPEN THAT IN 2015 THERE ARE STILL PLENTY OF ANIMALS WITHOUT CHIP? In our region the law is more than 20 years old,so there is something wrong here, how it can be that bullfighting, hunting or even Circus, get subsidies for mistreating animals, there should be something wrong inside their brains. And do you want to know something more?. I have lost my respect for all these people, I thought before that this people they were intelligent enough because at the end they have reached these places like being a judge or a policeman or a minister, but I have realized that this is not the case they are not more intelligent than us , the most of the times they are really more stupid, but at the end we are paying their salary with our taxes so they are working for us and they must serve us not the other way around. Oscar, the little kitten with three legs.

This sweetheart is called Oscar. Oscar was rescued in Palencia with one of his legs partially amputated and with the bone sticking out. We don't know what might have happened to him but being just 6 months old and already left on the streets it is not that strange that something like that happened to him. The sad thing is that at least he is alive to tell the story, others were not that lucky. Once we rescued him, we took him immediately to our vets so they could finish the amputation and close the wound. And now this little baby is recuperating in our refuge and we hope he does not have any complications so we can try to find him a home. Oscar is a sweet and loving kitten and even though he must have had a lot of pain caused by men, he just wants to be loved. When he has recovered he will be a totally normal kitten, ready to march into the world.

Blanca

Another rescue, almost another tragedy her name is Blanca , obviously because of her black skin, it was a joke, a bad joke, I know. Ok a part of her history we have just told to you , because she is the mother of the puppies that we have caught this summer, you know we tried with the trap, with the anesthetic rifle , we tried everything and we couldn´t catch her, anyway she made the mistake of getting into a fenced garden and there she was caught , please look carefully at her , her face , her body, her eyes they are the real symbol of horror she is absolutely terrified, if you try to touch her, she starts shaking , this is a real disgrace but we have seen so many like her , I don´t know what the hunters can have done to her but you can be sure that we will do our best to recover her trust on human beings, I am going to try to introduce her in my group and litle by litle she will become better.
