An important day for the dogs of "paddock 7"

On Monday the 23rd of March, Simonetta took the dogs with broken paws to the "Clinica Meditteranea" in Madrid. where they will build in plates and figure out the right procedures for the oncoming operations.
We found foster homes for them in Madrid who will take care of the dogs in the meantime until their treatment is completed.
From here we would like to thank the clinic very much for giving these brave dogs a second chance. We would also like to say thank to the foster families who will look after the dogs until they are ready to go and of course to all of you who offered their help.
If you would like to help us cover the costs for the material used in the operations you can either do that through our teaming site or paying onto our bank account.
Once again a million thanks! Without you nothing would be possible!

Pepe and Cicio urgently need special food

These little ones are called Pepe and Cicio, and they were rescued together with their brothers in a terrible condition. Undernourished, ill and scared out of their minds.  When they arrived at our place they were checked out by our vets who gave them a treatment immediately because they had parvo. It has been a long and hard process and even though we did what we could, only these two brave ones managed to survive. Now, a month later, they have managed to overcome the disease but their legs have become this way because of the malnourishment. Even so they are trying to integrate with the other pups and be normal but they can hardly manage to run or stay upright for a long time. When you enter to say hello, they try to run towards you to be petted, and they are always the last to get there. These champions deserve a normal life and to be able to play like any pup, and to get there they will need mostly food with a high nutritional value, something that we cannot afford because it is very expensive. After giving them this high quality food, we will have to see how they develop, and if they don’t get better we have to take them to the specialist to see what can be done. The next weeks are the most important and they need this food as soon as possible. Pepe and Cicio will be enormously grateful if you can donate for their high quality special puppy food, either the food itself or funds so we can get it for them. Would you want to help these babies?
Thank you!

Help for our "broken legs gang"

Today we have good news for you. A few days ago we informed you about a group of dogs we rescued lately that came to Scooby with broken paws. Again we asked for your solidarity to make their costly treatment possible. Once more our President Fermín, together with all the workers and volunteers got everything going to find collaborators. Amongst others we got into contact with the "Centro Veterinario Mediterráneo" that is located in Madrid. And once again they offered us their help. They will do the operations on the dogs and Scooby has to pay for the implants (plates and screws) only.
You can´t imagine how grateful we are to the whole team of the "Centro Veterinario Mediterráneo". They gave these dogs a new opportunity, which is very imrpessive for us. We would like to also thank all the others for their commitment and support, for example by sharing the post. Without you nothing would be possible. Thank you so much!

Seven of seven

Kennel number 7 has become the home of seven precious animals with „a bad leg“ They all arrived at Scooby with some sort of fracture and while some of them have already been operated on, the others are waiting their turn. These kind of surgeries are costing us a lot, especially with so many animals in such a short period. Our only wish is to operate them as soon as possible so they can recuperate quickly and find themselves a home, which is not an easy task. In our refuge we have a large quantity of animals, many of them with their own type of  illness and the consequent special treatment needed. You can imagine the work involved of getting them all ahead and although we at Scooby will always find the strength needed to do so, we need something very special to continue this way: YOU.  Only with your help we can keep on paying for the veterinary bills and return the dignity to our animals that one day had been taken from them.
If you want to support us and work with us, becoming a Scooby member, making a virtual adoption or simply becoming a teamer for only 1 euro a month, you can help us to continue our work. It’s only a small gesture that can change all their lives. Do you think it is worth it?
